...Birthday Bash Continued!

Hi friends! Here's another batch from the bash. I hope you enjoy.

Here are the Deets...

Trophied Bouquets: {who else but the Orchid Lady?}. Sadly, my camera went dead just before I could capture all of the other trophied bouquets. Each one was blissfully different than the other.

Party Hat: Taylor-Made by me. The topper on top was made with pipe cleaners and gold vintage buttons that looked like irish coins.

How do you like the Rah-Rah {pom-pom} pyramid of Taylor-Made favor boxes {dedicated to The Fighting Irish}? I can only take tiny credits on these. My talented and artsy friend, Donna, made the gold yarn poms. Aren't they just perfect? She just came up with the idea on a whim while we were crafting late, late the night before the party. I was completely out of ribbons...and DID NOT want to have to make another run to the craft store the next morning. Thanks for the sweet touch, Donna!!

Cookies: You'll be hearing and seeing more of these, but I'll start here with this...

My little, {but a lot taller than me}, Eleanor has decided to Jump Out of the {teenager} box with her own baking biz. She's a budding artist, baker and bike rider {saving up for four wheels}. How do you like her drop-dead little darlings??!! She tucked them into the favor boxes {and I tucked a few into my mouth...cookies not boxes}. I have to tell you, Eleanor has been baking these goodies for the family for awhile now, but most recently, she has added her signature painterly touch to the icings on top. Just wait 'til you see and/or taste her valentine cookies!! She's taking custom orders now...by the dozen or singly {tucked and boxed to Taylor-Made perfection}. Perfect for a Sweetheart, or Classroom Party Treat. Give me a ring if you'd like to place an order.

I'd love to throw a valentine bash or two of my own. I'm tossing a few ideas around. What would you think of a Vintage Perfume Bottle Exchange {empty bottle filled with your own handwritten message} + Sweet Ruffles {attire worn} + Truffles Party? Thoughts? Ideas?? Spill people. I love to hear your creative ideas!

Flutes + Crowns or Fruits + Clowns = Happy New Year!!

Flutes + Crowns or Fruits + Clowns....However you want to look at this vignette or tableaux. Subtotal of the two = Happy New Year Salutations! With tax = BAD Hangover. {I hope not the latter} And no, I'm not saying we shouldn't pay taxes.

Here's our DIY kitchen all decked out for the Taylor-Made New Years Bash: Pretty primitive...down to the bubbly {in the sink}. I've had people ask me how I live w/out a dishwasher. Well, my response is called kid's chores. I've taught my kids well, since I'm the expert on dishwashing. They say that once you've done something 10,000 hours...you're considered a real expert in that area. I have.

DIY shelves made from scrapping a throw away junk-style cabinet + industrial looking L-brackets.

I made a super simple DIY Paper crown today to put on Beethoven. How do you like it?

Champagne flutes and gifts have been given some felt stick-ons. It's the countdown {in case you didn't notice}. I bought the stick-ons at the local craft store for like $3 dollars.

I'm super proud that I actually got out the sewing machine to sew the kitchen sink skirt all by myself. Fabric is Amy Butler.

Sharon Taylor Designs Featured On Style Me Pretty!!!

Good news yesterday had me putting an extra hard spin move on my living, dining, and kitchen chandeliers. At least 1/2 an inch of dust and dirt came flying down off of the crystals after I received an e-mail from the lovely Abby Larson, of Style Me Pretty, asking if she could publish my designs today!

Cheers to my people (also to Will's inspiration and Janae Hardy photography)who made this happen!

I couldn't be any more tickled-with-caramel than this. Style Me Pretty is the parent of wedding style and positively my most favorite wedding site ever!!

Check out today's feature and let me know what you think...and Cheers to Trees!

I'll post instructions to this project a bit later after the dust settles here and all the kids get situated with full bellies.

x's and o'sies,
sharon
