Countdown to Rue Magazine Premier Issue!

I'm ready to dive into Rue Magazine's premier issue tomorrow!  I know you'll be just as excited as I am after seeing this sneak peak of their cover. On the cover, W& R.  Are they not just the epitome of style?!  LOVE it!

Rue is the next magazine to replace the Domino, which we were all so fond of and miss dearly.

So with Rue...there has been an amazing ramping up to their launch in the last few weeks that has had me super giddy with excitement.  For those of you who read the blogs I like, you will recognize some of the editors behind this amazing "Rue crew".  They are the authors of some really great blogs.  First off, Crystal Gentilello, of Plush Palate, {who is so sweet and has been supportive of my work on her blog}...she is the Co-Founder and Editor in Chief.  Anne Sage, of the City Sage...Co-Founder, and Executive Editor.  Alaina Kaczmarski, of Live Creating Yourself...Managing Editor.  And lastly, Caitlin Flemming, of Sacramento Street...Market Editor.

Wanna know something else?  I was invited to Rue magazine's launch celebration in NYC next week.  Among other things, a toast to their launch will be part of a full day of events at the New York Design Center for the What's New, What's Next event.  Some really great things are lined up on the program that you can count on me filling you in on.  Oh, I can't wait.  Oh, my goodness. What do I wear??!

Sharon Taylor Designs: Blog Love

Here is one of the final photos of the nursery I designed and just completed. I am so honored to say that the nursery was featured on several of my most favorite blogs. You can see a story on Project Nursery or Little Luna Lu, and Plush Palate. Everyone has been so incredibly nice about the end result.

AND on a little side note, not only is the nursery featured on Project Nursery's blog, it actually soared to the top ranking nursery in their gallery in less than 48 hours. I think it's the only nursery to be given a five star rating, so far. But, I would love your help in continuing to vote it up. If you haven't voted, please do! And thanks in advance!! You have to first register, leave a comment, and then make sure you click the fifth elephant! Here's the link.

Extremely pleased to say the least, but many thanks are in order starting with all of you who voted me up. Thank you!! Also, special thanks to Meghan, Baby Harlow, Dawn Shields Photography, Sister Millie Johnson, and all the others who really pulled this room together!

With all this talk of things in the water, I have to tell you that I am so excited for Susanna Salk's book, Room for Children, which hits books stores today!

AND, last but not least. I have to tell you, in case you don't know, about 9 by Design. It's a reality design show featuring Robert and Cortney Novogratz, of Sixx Design, and their seven beautiful children who renovate some really killer properties in large urban cities! So inspiring!! It airs tonight on Bravo 10/9 Central time. TUNE in and then let me know what you think.

Happy Monday and Spring, Dearests!!

MMmmuuuhhh!! {Big Kisses}

Wedding Season

Hello dearies. I don't know where the last week went...I've been so busy prepping/planning for weddings that there has just never been enough time in the day to get to this post.

I've had two craft bashes with brides this week. We've been busy crankin out the home made goodness of bouts, pinwheels, and other little dishes {not food} that I can't wait to show you.

Next up, I'll be meeting w/florists to consult on all the fine tuning deets: This particular wedding will be where "Classic meets and greets Graffiti-Vintage Style". {A bit Betsy Johnson-ish.} **Mixing up some quirkiness is right up my alley.** I love that this bride loves all the classy elements of Coco Chanel, Kate Spade, Tiffany and Co.... But, she also loves to have fun and can appreciate the funner things in life, like bein' laid back {so-to-speak}. So...here are a few inspirations I will busy up my life with in the next few weeks.

I'm loving the doves on the porch! How romantic is that?

xo, my dears!
