Midwest Farm Wedding

Hello everyone. Life is full and good!  How about yours?

Oh, my goodness...I have so many photos to share with you.  This blogpost will not let me share all of them in one post, so expect more where these are coming from!  I won't be able to touch on all the details, but hopefully you can appreciate the fact that a lot of work went into this wedding, just by looking at the pictures alone.

This sweet countryside wedding could not have touched me more.  I was fortunate to have worked closely with my cousin, Laura Key, a matriarchal figure in my sister's and cousin's lives. We worked together through out this last year year and frequented many garage sales and even trash piles...{yes, we do that on occasion}.  She and her husband, Brett poured more love and labor into this wedding than I have ever seen before on such an event.  Just a mention:  Brett hauled their family piano all the way to Ash Grove for the ceremony so that their oldest daughter, Chloe, {who plays so beautifully, I might add} would be able to play for her sister, Hanna's, wedding.  A labor of love by all the family!  It was SWEET.  Made me cry, laugh, and dance with a happy heart.  I love Hanna and Evan and wish them The life full of a bowl of strawberries...{see cake from their sweet wedding}.

Also, this wedding was where I was re-introduced to local talent, Kendra Skinner.  {I knew her in her childhood}. Gosh, that makes me sound old. Anyway, Kendra is the most an amazing artist and I'm so excited to have run into her again, because she just "GETS IT".

Since this wedding, she and I been collaborating on several FUN projects.  There's nothing she can't do. Not only is she talented, but she and I clicked immediately...I think partly, because we both have the same big family backgrounds, where we grew up living on the wonderful old saying of "Necessity being the mother of invention". Check out what she's doing right now...HERE.  Take a look at her new fall line that will be previewing at the new Red Velvet Art this fall.  She will go somewhere and I'm so excited to see her take off!

Hope you can forgive my long, and rather sporadic posts!!
