Harvest Party. YOU are invited!

Inspired by Pinterest and FALL, I am hosting a harvest party! All are welcome to come but seats are limited.  You can book your reservation by calling 417-459-8988 today. Seats are $25 at the door or $20 if you book in advance.  A harvest style lunch will be provided here at Pickwick House and I will be sharing some tips and tricks on how to host your own unforgettable harvest bash.  Tentatively Friday, Oct. 19th, 11:30am-1:00pm.

I would LOVE, LOVE your feedback on what topics for fall that are your favorites.  You can follow my board titled 'harvest' on pinterest HERE and comment/like/or pin away on any photos that you think could be fun for the party and we'll be sure and try to incorporate some of the fun details that day!

Happy Halloween!

Could we have asked for better weather for this fine holiday weekend?!  What plans have you for this leaf-falling, soup-making, owl's nest-making day?  Festivities are in full swing at our house and on our Pickwick street, where the Rountree Owl mascot awaits his moonlight call!

Today, we are costume sewing for a toddler Indian girl, and prop stylizing for a teen-age Martha Stewart.

Looking so forward to the classic annual neighborhood costume parade tonight, here in Rountree.  Easily, my most favorite event of the year!  {Thanks to Weller mom's, Robbin and Amy, who started this kid-friendly, neighborly tradition a few years back...now it's grown to over 400 kid/family paraders}.  Anyone is welcome and it starts at five, just one block south of Grand on Weller.  I look forward to seeing old and young alike in their quirkiest and most outlandish moods.

I love these masked guests of Truman Capote's infamous Black and White Ball at the Plaza hotel in 1966.   What a party that would have been!

If you're in the 'hood, stop by 910 S. Pickwick and join us as we count over 500 plus trick or treaters this year!  One of the reasons I say, "Rountree = Quintessential Halloween"

Have a wonderful day and night!

Twirling

I hope you had a few nice Holidays over the weekend.

I did a lot of twirling over the Holidays.

First twirl about:
I was given the award for Best 417 Window Designs {windows by Sharon Taylor Designs @ Staxx.} I did a little twirl around after hearing of this award. I got dizzy and fell. No skinned knees. {Tweaking on the twirling to come...}

Other Twirl-Abouts: Twirled up a few paper discs for some parties and weddings {pink and blue ones for a photo shoot to come + Tutorials coming soon also}. {The brown gift box was for my aunt and uncles 50th} Happy 50th Jim and Polly!

Also, over the Holidays...Will's mom made at least ten of the most outstanding gourmet meals I've ever eaten...{for the whole lot of the 10+ family}! All I did was twirl the dish sponge around and watch her twirl her Martha Stewart-like creations. One of my favorites she made: Panetone Bread Pudding w/Custard, Pumpkin Drizzle and Whipping Creme.

Recap of Year:
First, I launched sharontaylordesigns.com, then the lifestyle blog a bit later in the year. In a quick turn-about off of those two things, I found my work being published among some of the best online sites in the design industry + the phone started ringing w/new clients and it hasn't stopped ringing since. Thanks again for all of your support!!

Sorry about the over usage of twirling. Once I find a word I like, it's over and over again until I'm done.

I'm done.

Best,
Sharon
